The Salaphi Sistas

The Salaphi Sistas is an Afro-pop duo comprised of sisters Enkosi and Tina Salaphi born and raised in the small town of Dutywa in the Eastern Cape of South Africa.
In 2015 Enkosi and Tina began attending jam sessions at the BAT Centre in Durban where they met artists with similar tastes in music. They started experimenting with different sounds and genres in that same year they recorded their first three songs, Amagubu, Ungowam, and Ndagqiba.
Since then, the Salaphi Sistas have grown to become well-known voices amongst Duban’s live scene performing at 8 Morrison Street, eGagasini Lounge, The Jazzy Rainbow, The Bat Centre, and Durban City Hall. They’ve also performed at the KUMISA industry night and were crowned winners of the KZN Music Imbizo showcase competition in 2016.
Having featured on some of Durban’s most listened to radio stations Gagasi FM and Durban Youth Radio (DYR) Enkosi and Tina are excited about their future! They continue to focus on recording new music for their fans showing their true potential while sharing their music with a worldwide audience.
