The Rio de Janeiro born and award winning singer, songwriter, pianist, arranger and producer’s output ranges from MPB to electronics, post-Bossa Nova, samba and pop. Her discography, fully available on all streaming platforms, includes Antonio (1999-ECM), Presente (2010-Dubas), Saudações Egberto – with works by Gismonti (2011/2016 – Rob Digital + TuffBeats Japan).
Her recording career started with Duo Fênix in the 1980’s with which she made a name both as pianist and composer highlighted with appearances at Sofia Jazz Festival, club New Morning in Paris, and Montreux Jazz Festival. Her prestige as an accomplished musician granted her engagements to arrange, direct and perform in various successful musicals in Rio and Sao Paulo, spanning more than a decade, earning her many awards.
Delia has performed and recorded with Brazilian and international greats such as Marcos Valle, Milton Nascimento, Ed Motta, Toninho Horta, Hermeto Pascoal and Romero Lubambo, as well as Swedish singer Lisa Nilsson, Italian star Mario Biondi and American sax player Bob Baldwin. Onstage her kaleidoscopic musicianship is at hand, revealing her charming singing and Brazilian charisma, virtuoso piano, diverse musical ideas and contemporary sound. 2019 saw her on her first European tour with 11 dates played in Germany, Italy and Portugal at the prestigious MIMO Festival. When working with her band, she is sided onstage by Chapman stick player and vocalist Matias Correa and guitarist, drummer and keyboardist Antonio Fischer-Band. Her European alternate line-up features multi percussionist Gilson Silveira, trumpetist Christian Kappe, bassist Jonathan Ihlenfeld and Dutchman Jan Dumée on guitar. For more intimate clubs she also performs solo singing from the piano, offering an unique opportunity to sip her personal charm and great music.
